Day To Day Summary

Day 1

Kick off your South African adventure at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, where you'll be warmly welcomed! Then, we’re off on a scenic drive to Mpumalanga.

First up is Alzu Petroport, a fun pit stop to stretch your legs and spot rhinos and ostriches roaming nearby. Next, we'll explore the Stone Circle Museum, where ancient stone circles and mysteries of the past await.

Afterward, get ready to be amazed by the stunning Emgwenya Waterfall (Elands Falls), with its 95-meter drop creating misty rainbows—perfect for photos! We’ll also check out the Krugerhof Museum, the former home of President Paul Kruger, before reflecting at the Anglo-Boer War graves.

Finally, we’ll head to the Mjejane Game Reserve, right by the Crocodile River and bordering the iconic Kruger National Park. Adventure awaits!

Day 2

Get ready for an action-packed Day 2! Start your morning with an exhilarating game drive in Mjejane Game Reserve, then head into the famous Kruger National Park in a specially designed safari vehicle.

Kick things off at the Stevenson-Hamilton Memorial Lookout for stunning views, then snap some breathtaking shots at Mathekenyane Hill (Koppie View Point). Lunchtime means a tasty meal at the newly renovated Kruger Station Restaurant in Skukuza.

In the afternoon, we’ll explore iconic spots like the Olifants Waterhole to watch elephants and wildlife. Your guide will share cool stories at the Kruger Tablets before we take a breather at Tshokwane Trading Post—perfect for souvenirs!

As we head toward Satara Rest Camp, we'll stop at Mazithi Dam Viewpoint for more wildlife watching. Once settled in at Satara, known for its big cat sightings, you’ll have time to freshen up before an unforgettable night drive to see nocturnal creatures in action. Wrap up the day with a delicious dinner, sharing your adventures with fellow travelers!

Day 3

Get ready for an action-packed adventure! We start early at Satara Rest Camp for our last game drive through Kruger National Park as we head toward the Phalaborwa Gate.

First, we’ll stop at the breathtaking Olifants Rest Camp for stunning views and wildlife spotting. Then, we’ll visit the N'wamanzi Viewpoint for great photo ops of elephants and hippos.
Keep an eye out for wildlife as your guide shares cool park facts. Don’t miss Von Wielligh's Baobab, a majestic tree over a thousand years old!

We’ll wrap up with lunch at Tindlovu Restaurant before exiting Kruger and journeying to lush Magoebaskloof. After checking into your accommodation, unwind with a leisurely walk and enjoy local cuisine for dinner while sharing the day’s adventures!

Day 4

Kick off your thrilling day in the wild hills of Magoebaskloof with a hearty breakfast! Get ready for the adrenaline rush of the Magoebaskloof Canopy Tour, where you’ll zip through treetops and soar above the stunning Groot Letaba River gorge.
Next, we’ll dive into the world of craft beer at Zwakala Brewery, where you can taste unique local brews. Then, brace yourself for the Long Tom Monument, where you’ll uncover the dramatic story of the Boers’ last stand in the Anglo-Boer War against a backdrop of breathtaking views.

As we make our way to Polokwane, absorb the ever-changing landscapes from lush forests to the wild bushveld. After checking into Golden Pillow accommodation, unwind or take a daring stroll.
Dinner at the lodge serves up delicious local cuisine, the perfect way to celebrate a day packed with adventure, craft beer, and captivating history!

Day 5

As your tour concludes, we’ll depart early from the Golden Pillow in Polokwane and head to Johannesburg, with an intriguing stop at Makapan's Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, explore caves housing Australopithecus africanus fossils and learn about the site’s historical significance, including its role in 19th-century conflicts.

After our visit, we’ll continue to Johannesburg, observing the shift from Limpopo’s bushveld to Gauteng's urban landscape. Reflect on your diverse experiences, from wildlife in Kruger National Park to the scenic beauty of Magoebaskloof. Finally, we’ll arrive at the Southern Sun Hotel at OR Tambo International Airport for a relaxing conclusion before your departure.
