Day 3

We begin our adventure with an early departure to the mesmerizing Makapans Valley, one of the world's most pivotal paleontological sites. This stunning valley, rich in both natural beauty and historical significance, is a treasure trove of archaeological wonders and insights into human evolution. As we explore, you'll uncover the valley's deep connections to ancient history and its cultural ties to the region’s indigenous people.

Next, we journey to the Bakone Malapa Museum, just outside Polokwane, the bustling capital of Limpopo Province. Here, you'll delve into the vibrant history and culture of the BaSotho people, a subgroup of the Northern Sotho. The museum features two traditional homesteads with exhibits that transport you back 280 years, showcasing the traditional life of the Bakone people. The reconstructed cultural village offers an immersive experience, vividly illustrating the BaSotho way of life.

Our exploration continues as we make our way to the enchanting Magoebaskloof.

Zwakala, which means "come closer" in the local language, invites you to savor award-winning, slow-brewed beers with a distinctive local flair. Established in 2016, this microbrewery is known for its flavorful brews and stunning mountain views. Relax with a beer in hand and take in the breathtaking scenery.

To cap off the day, we'll embark on a serene barge cruise with sundowners on Ebenezer Dam before heading back to our cozy accommodations.
